The Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership, in conjunction with Heritage Ottawa, City of Ottawa and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, will host a series of guided walking tours of Chinatown, Little Italy, Lowertown West, Lowertown East and Vanier as part of Welcoming Ottawa Week, June 18 to 30, 2018. The walks will highlight the contributions of immigrant communities to those neighbourhoods.
The Little Italy tours will be on June 26th and 28th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., meeting at the Plant Recreation Centre at 930 Somerset Street West.
The Chinatown tours will take place on June 30th, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will also be meeting at the Plant Recreation Centre.
