The site plan was approved on November 19th. A description of the project can be found within the City of Ottawa’s approval documentation:
“The construction of a 16-storey, 168-unit retirement residence and five levels of underground parking on the property, that is currently in use as a surface parking lot. The proposal includes 181 new vehicle and 49 bike parking spaces. The new underground parking will connect with the existing underground parking structure at 265 Carling located on the eastern portion of the property and will be accessed from Clemow Avenue. The project includes a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, as well as medical and personal services on the first floor. Amenity spaces are provided in the form of private balconies, and internal amenity spaces, and external communal areas on the podium level.”

A building permit must still be issued, so construction cannot start immediately. We are seeking clarity from Katasa regarding their intended construction timeline. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
