After hearing from residents that there aren’t places for parents and caregivers to sit and watch kids play from inside the fenced area, GACA worked with the Councillor’s office to find a good location inside the park for a new bench facing the play structures. The chosen location is in the southwest corner of the park, behind the sandbox. The new bench will look onto the sandbox, swings, and other equipment without taking up active play space.

The bench will be funded through the Councillor’s Cash-in-Lieu of Parkland funds, and we expect it to be installed later this year (installation date to be determined).
