Notice of Meeting – Supportive Housing Project – 289 Carling (April 12th)

GACA continues to work to keep our community informed about the proposed supportive housing project planned for 289 Carling Avenue.  The land was transferred from the federal government to the city on March 21st.

In order to discuss next steps, we invite you to an information session on the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, which has been set up by Councillor Chernushenko’s office and the city’s Affordable Housing Unit.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 12th from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at the Glebe Community Centre – downstairs in the multi-purpose room.

Saide Sayah, the City’s Affordable Housing Manager, will provide an overview and will leave some time for questions from the community.

While it is too early to know details such as what organization will be running the facility, nor for what clientele, as those will be determined by the outcome of the RFP process, this is an opportunity to discuss the process that will soon be underway, including possible timelines for the development.
